Job Summary

We are a high-end custom millwork and cabinetry shop specializing in premium cabinetry, architectural millwork, and fine furniture. Our projects are fully custom and detail-driven — requiring precise engineering and technical documentation to bring each design to life.

We are seeking a Cabinetry Engineer / CAD Drafter to support our team in developing detailed shop drawings and technical plans for custom cabinetry and millwork. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical accuracy with a strong understanding of construction methods and design intent.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed shop drawings and technical documentation for custom cabinetry and millwork
• Interpret design concepts, architectural plans, and specifications into production-ready drawings
• Develop layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed components using CAD software
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and shop team to ensure accuracy and feasibility
• Revise drawings based on feedback and field conditions
• Ensure all drawings meet company standards, construction requirements, and project timelines
• Assist with material takeoffs and production planning as needed
• Maintain organized project files and documentation

Qualifications

• Experience in cabinetry drafting, millwork engineering, or similar role
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, or similar)
• Strong understanding of cabinetry construction methods and materials
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Experience with SketchUp or similar software is a plus
